This “rule” is stupidly simple. Yet many people I’ve met still don’t realize it.
Maybe because they don’t want to; sometimes admitting simple truths means admitting you’re wrong, and things aren’t as complicated as you make them. But truth is always simple. Here it is:
The more you deal with challenges and issues, the better your life gets. The more you ignore these challenges, the worse they get.
That’s it. You don’t necessarily need “daily habits” or powerful “ideas” to make a real change. Honestly, I think lots of this stuff is quite meaningless anyway.
You need to look reality in the eyes and ask yourself, “what’s wrong here? What’s not working? what problem I know I have for a while, yet I still ignore?”
And then go and work on these issues.
Like, you KNOW exactly what you need to do. EXACTLY. Yet you’re still waiting for miracles or hoping some bullshit “idea” or quick fix will help you solve it in a week.
It reminds me of fitness products. Everybody knows that you need to mind your diet and exercise to lose weight. That’s basically it.
But no. People will go for another “method” or new surgery that’ll get them lean in two weeks (the surgery probably will. I’m not sure about the method.)
Here's why.
Because people will always look for the easy way out. They’ll do anything to avoid the hard work they know they need to do.
Don’t be that person.
If your job sucks, work on finding a career path. If you aren’t fit, find a plan that works for you. If you don’t like your social circle, make an effort to build a new one. Simple. It doesn’t have to be a dramatic, overnight change. Bit by bit, you get there.
