A divorced guy posted on Facebook the other day:
“STAY SINGLE.”
Many men supported his argument in the comments. “Sad but true. Everything a marriage offers, you can get without the ring.”
Only one man replied, “But what about family, children, and love?”
Not all men want to drive five different cars and sleep with ten different women
I get it.
Some men marry terrible women, get divorced, and lose half of what they own—if not everything. It’s not a nice experience, to say the least, and I don’t blame them. You marry a woman to build a life together and shit goes sideways. Of course you’ll regret it.
But there’s a flipside to that coin.
Some men still believe in the idea of a traditional family. I know I do. I want a partner I can trust, kids, and a place I can call home. A family of my own. Sleeping with different women is a nice experience to have. But it’s also an empty one that leads to a dead end. And cars. If a black Lamborghini will be the highlight of my life, I don’t want it. Men who preach “stay single!!!” talk about cars and women as if those things are enough to satisfy a man.
“But wife material almost don’t exist anymore”
There’s some truth to that.
Israel is a fairly traditional country (where I’m from), and finding a “good woman” feels tough here too. Especially with the rise of dating apps and ridiculous feminism. Some women have completely lost the plot. In reality, I don’t think there’s a lack of quality women though (whatever “quality” means to you).
It’s a mixture of brainwashing and impatience—towards the other sex—from both men and women.
Still, what’s the alternative? Staying single? Having kids with a surrogate? I’ll pass. I’m 35, had my fair share of fun, and the idea of being a single parent, or being single at all, has zero appeal on me In my opinion, it’s an unnatural, manufactured way to live your life. Having kids without a partner you love feels wrong.
Men who constantly complain about women have simply given up.
A guy in Taiwan told me to never get married
In 2015 I traveled to Taiwan and met a Canadian who had married a local woman. They had two kids, I think, and got divorced a year later. He strongly advised me not to get married, since it ain’t worth it. When I asked him what happened, he said she flipped after they married and started acting evil. Her family supported her and told her to leave him.
To me, it sounded like this woman was a bitch from the beginning, marriage or not.
I don’t judge, but it seems like problem wasn’t marriage.
He just picked the wrong partner.
For me, that’s the name of the game. Getting married to the right person. Someone who’s mature enough, and aware enough to have a relationship with. Otherwise, no marriage won’t last long.
Don’t throw in the towel because women got picky
If men stay single because they’ve given up, it won’t end well.
It reminds me of 42-year old feminists who cry on TikTok because they regret the path they’ve chosen. They say they don’t need men, they’re independent, yada yada, and this is the result.
Yes, it’s tough out there.
But don’t let some “influencer” pull you off course. The advice you read online, good or bad, is based on the writers’ experience. Just because other people regret taking a certain route, doesn’t mean you should avoid it too. It’s like a diabetic telling you to never eat ice cream again. Good advice for him. Not necessarily for you.
If you truly want a family, don’t give up.
Conclusion
Do what’s best for you. Whatever it might be, don’t do it for the wrong reasons. If you don’t want to get married, and truly don’t believe in it, then don’t. But if you want to start a family, can’t find a woman, and meanwhile you start convincing yourself all women are evil because of some posts you’ve read.
